The Kaffebar

The newly expanded Kaffebar features lunch selections like Nordic Waffles, lefse, soup & salad, and smørbrød, as well as seasonal favorites like Gingerbread Lattes, Hot Cocoa, Gløgg, Gingerbread Cookies, Gingerbread Wonderland Waffles and Apple Cider.

Norway House Lending Library

The lending library offers books featuring Nordic, Nordic-American, and Minnesotan authors. Books with Nordic folktales are included in this collection.

Gingerbread Wonderland

Gingerbread Wonderland at the Norway House, Minneapolis

Since 2015, Norway House has offered the annual Gingerbread Wonderland exhibit to share Norway’s longstanding heritage of holiday gingerbread houses. It is inspired by the City of Bergen, Norway’s famous annual Gingerbread City exhibit and hopes to convey the magic of a a gingerbread village that transcends generations, cultures and architect styles. Gingerbread Wonderland runs through the holiday season.

Family Memberships

Family memberships are $70. Family is defined as “two adult members plus two children under 18 living in the same household”. If your personal definition of family includes a few more children, you’ll need to pay their admission separately or purchase an “Under 30 Membership” for them for $25. Membership includes gallery admission, discounts and exclusive events.

Norway House Expansion

Thanks to the popularity of Gingerbread Wonderland, the Norway House began expanding in 2020 and was finished in the fall of 2022. In January of 2020 an old duplex was demolished and they buried some gingerbread crumbs into the new foundation of their expansion and are excited to move forward into the next phase. The stretches around the corner.
