Michael’s Craft Stores offer in-store crafting classes at reasonable prices (usually $2.00/child). See their website for locations and class times. If you are looking for something a bit more local, Gianna has some favorites that she lists in Arts and Crafts for Kids Around Town. There are two types of craft events for children. Kids Club costs $2/child. Kids 3+ can create a half-hour project. MAKEbreaks are similar to Kids Club, but are sometimes free and sometimes require purchase of materials. Cost: $2 per project, ages 3-8; $5 per project, ages 6+. Supplies included. Note. This events may not be in every Michael’s store every week. We were unable to find the project at our local store when we visited. As always, we recommend calling ahead to verify. Families can choose between two birthday party options: Packages include themed party with supplies included; or use of a classroom but without supplies included. The store offers a variety of themes to choose from and for an additional fee, you can include face painting. Snacks and refreshments are not provided, but you can bring your own.
