Hyland Hills Ski Area is maintained by Three Rivers Park District. The park district recently upgraded the ski chalet. Families can ski and snowboard in the winter months and play disc golf in the summer. Also look for movies and music on the hill during the summer months. One of three pay disc golf courses in the Three Rivers district, Hyland Hill’s 18-hole golf course features a scenic view of the Twin Cities and elevation changes with holes that traverse, climb and descend ski slopes for a fun and challenging outing. Availability is dependent on the weather and the condition of the course. The cost of disc golf is $6/round or $45/season. If you are looking for a place to play free, check out Hyland Visitor Center or Lake Minnetonka Regional Park. The park also hosts Movies and Music on the Hill each summer. Families can bring blankets or chairs and watch a concert or movie in the park on select dates. In the fall, Hyland opens up the chairlift rides to visitors who want to view the fall colors from above. Learn More Here: Fall Colors in Minnesota: 10 Tours for Families.
