Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies ("GTCYS") is a program designed to inspire the orchestral experience for young musicians (ages 8-18) with a conviction that music nourishes the mind, body, and spirit. GTCYS has 10 different orchestras for kids of every proficiency level.

Observe a GTC Youth Symphonies Rehearsal

If you have a child who is interested in orchestra, you can schedule a visit to watch a rehearsal. GTCYS believes that rehearsals are "where the real magic happens" and that watching the conductors "inspire and transform" the musicians can be informative. GTCYS Summer Camp

GTCYS offers an engaging summer orchestra program. Participants will have a fun and challenging orchestral experiences for string, woodwind, brass, and percussion students of all abilities that ends in a public performance in mid-July. Note that GRCYS offers needs-based scholarships for their summer camp programs.
