St. Paul Parks are open from sunrise to 11pm.

Located in St. Paul’s Rondo neighborhood and nestled between Concordia College and Central High School, Dunning Park features a sports complex and newly-built playground. There is also a BBQ grill and picnic area near the playground and restrooms. The park is close enough to Great River Waterpark, that you can park and visit both at the same time.

The Griggs Bikeway passes through Dunning Park and connects to a pedestrian-bike bridge over I-94.

Dunning Park Playground

Dunning Park was the first of several St. Paul Parks to receive a new KABOOM! Playground. Volunteers came together in October of 2023 to build this new play space (in the rain!).  The newly built playground was designed by neighborhood kids, built by the community and made possible by the support of several community partner business and non-profits.

KABOOM! is the national nonprofit that works to end playspace inequity for good. We define playspace inequity as a lack of access to and a sense of belonging in quality playspaces due to the effects of systemic racism in communities across the country.

Dunning Sports Complex

Dunning Sports Complex’s amenities include a basketball court, baseball and softball fields with manual batting cages, and tennis courts. Bring along a playground ball or sports gear to enjoy this space.
