My daughter absolutely loves cats but mean old mom isn’t up for having a pet. Our solution? We book an hour at Café Meow. This sweet rescue coffee shop gives us a feline fix without extra responsibility. Kids over 6 (with a parent) can play with the kitties and sip a warm beverage. Little kids (age 6 and under) are only allowed in the cat lounge during private events and must have 2 adults supervising them. Drop by the café for free during open hours. To visit with the cats, it is best to make a reservation (although if there is room, you can walk in). Admission to the Cat Lounge is $10.00 on weekdays and $15.00 on weekends. Visits are one hour and start at the top of each hour. During Happy Hours, visitors can pay $3.50 for a 15-minute visit. Happy Hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 1pm to 5pm. These times are walk-in only and not open to children under 7. The New Hope location opened in June of 2022 with both walk-in and reservation appointments available. Make New Hope reservations here. Book a private hour in the Cat Lounge for up to 10 people. Smaller children can come to these events but must be supervised by 2 adults. Book via email: thecafemeow@gmail.com.
