My daughter absolutely loves cats but mean old mom isn’t up for having a pet. Our solution? We book an hour at Café Meow. This sweet rescue coffee shop gives us a feline fix without extra responsibility. Kids 7+ (with a parent) can play with the kitties and sip a warm beverage. Bigger kids, ages 7 and up, can visit with a parent who actively supervises. It is a good idea to go over the rules with them before attending.
Little kids (age 6 and under) are only allowed in the cat lounge during private events and must have 2 adults supervising them. Drop by the café for free during open hours. To visit with the cats, it is best to make a reservation (although if there is room, you can walk in). Admission to the Cat Lounge is $10.50 on weekdays and $15.00 on weekends. Visits are one hour and start at the top of each hour. Happy Meower walk-in visits are offered Tuesday through Thursday from 1pm-5pm for $3.50/15 minutes. The New Hope location opened in June of 2022 with both walk-in and reservation appointments available. Make New Hope reservations here. The Roseville location opened in the summer of 2023 with both walk-in and reservation appointments available. Make Roseville reservations here. Book a private hour in the Cat Lounge for a small group. Smaller children can come to these events but must be supervised by 2 adults. For bigger kids there must be one adult for every four children.
