Bush Lake Beach, Bloomington
Bush Lake Beach and East Bush Lake Park are on the east side of Bush Lake in Bloomington. They are located slightly more than a mile away from and across the lake from West Bush Lake Park. The park is part of the greater Hyland-Bush-Anderson Lakes Park Reserve. This popular beach is guarded during open hours (11am to 7pm daily during the season) and its amenities include a volleyball court and concessions stand. Besides enjoying swimming, families can canoe, picnic and explore the trails. 2020 Note: No Lifeguards on duty in 2020.
A daily pass or seasonal parking permit is required for entrance to the beach from June through August. Seasonal vehicle permits are $41, or you can purchase a daily permit for $8. However, West Bush Lake Park does not require a parking permit, so if you don't mind walking a mile (both ways), you can park there. 2020 Note: Vehicle permits have been waived in 2020.
