Audubon Park, Minneapolis
Audubon Park, in Northeast Minneapolis, features a playground and tot lot as well as a wading pool. The wading pool opens Memorial Day weekend and closes on Labor Day and is free to use between the hours 10 am to 9 pm daily. There are no lifeguards on duty.
Audubon offers plenty of green space for running. It has a small valley that would make good kite-flying ground. The slope into the valley is perfect for rolling down. This is also where they have shown movies in the past.
There is space for a picnic or cookout.
The park is close to the Audubon neighborhood shopping district. Audubon Coffee Shop, Hazel's Restaurant, Parkway Pizza, and Sarah Jane's Bakery are all within walking distance.
