Website St Anthony Central Park

St Anthony Village’s Central Park sits on the city’s municipal complex and shares a block with the fire department, city water tower, community center and the high school (which houses the community pool). There is a veterans memorial just off of Silver Lake Road. Water Tower Park also occupies this block.

Central Park playground and splash pad

Although you cannot see either from the street, this park has a good sized playground and a splash pad. The splash pad is a large concrete area with a tall sprinkler in the center. While most splash pads are on concrete, the room to run makes me nervous. Wet concrete + room to run + a lot of kids = scary for parents but fun for kids. The splash pad usually opens in late May and closes in early September.

Saint Anthony Skate Park

The park is also home to a skateboard park and sports fields and courts. The skate park is  closer to Water Tower Playground on the south side of the park than Central Park’s playground and splash pad. It was repaired and updated in April of 2023.

Winter at Saint Anthony Central Park

In the winter, the village maintains an ice skating and hockey rink at this location. Residents also like to sled at this location. The slope is gentle and points inward from the street.

Birthday parties at Saint Anthony Central Park

The shelter at this park can be reserved for private events. Visit the city’s website (you’ll need to create an account) or contact Community Services at 612-706-1166 to do that.
