Description
Local author Monica Rojas shares her bilingual picture book, Patchwork Memories, with visitors to the Textile Center. After the reading, kids can make their own “quilted” bookmark. This would be a lovely event to invite the grandparents. FREE (Books available for purchase). Drop In All Ages.
Event schedule:
- 4 pm – Meet + Greet, Make a “quilted” bookmark activity for kids
- 4:30 – 5 pm – Book reading
- 5 – 6 pm – Book signing and kids activity.
About the Book
Patchwork Memories by Monica Rojas and illustrated by Luisa Uribe is a a heartfelt story about the love between a child and her Abuela and how quilts can hold and carry family memories. Reading Level: Kindergarten – Grade 3
About the author:
Monica Rojas lives with her wife, niece, and nephew in Minneapolis. Her picture books include “Nana and Abuela” and “Patchwork Memories.”
