Minnesota Dance Theatre & School (“MDT”) is a a dance company located in Minneapolis that offers classes for ages 4 through adult and performances throughout the year. Look for free classes for boys, adult drop-in classes and a variety of classes and intensives for youth of all ages.

Minnesota Dance Theatre offers classes for all levels of ability, open to a range of ages, from preschool to adult. The studio’s Young Children’s Division (YCD) is a joyful introduction to dance for dancers ages 4 to 11. Students explore movement through imagery, music, and self-expression

Tuition-free classes for boys

As with many ballet companies in Minnesota, boys ballet classes are free for young men ages 5 to 11 at MDT. Boys can get an overview of ballet and contemporary dance at these weekly classes that run fall to spring in line with the school year.

Minnesota Dance Theater Open Classes

Teens and adults (ages 16 and up) can attend open classes. Single classes or multiple class cards can be purchased prior to the start of class, with discounts for multiple class attendance.
