Holiday family fun in downtown Excelsior begins on Black Friday (November 28) and continues on Small Business Saturday with a tree lighting event featuring carolers and Santa, games indoors and out, music, carriage rides and more. The merriment extends with “Celebrating the Season Saturdays” into December with more opportunities to shop local, enjoy the holiday lights and visit with Santa. See our complete schedule. 2025 Christmas In Excelsior family events
November 28-29
10am-6pm | Live music tent & carolers
10am-6pm | Santa’s Workshop – with indoor games and activities for kids
10am-6pm | Frosty’s Funland – with outdoor kids games (some for adults, as well)
10am-3pm | Face painting, caricatures & hair tinsel
11am-4pm | Visit huskies & llamas (until 3pm Sat), reindeer (Sun only, until 3pm)
1-4pm | Carriage rides
5pm | Fire juggling
7:15pm | Excelsior holiday tree lighting – Saturday only, Excelsior Veterans Memorial
