Moonshine Park is a small park in Eagan that sits on LeMay Lake. Family-friendly amenities include a playground, space to picnic, hiking trails and a canoe launch. There is a bonfire pit near the shore of the lake and a sun shelter available for rent for private events. There is off-street parking for up to 8 vehicles.
Ideas for family fun at Moonshine Park
- Pack a picnic. There is a sweet picnic area, fenced in with log fencing to give an old-fashioned feel to the area.
- Bring your canoe to get out on the lake. There is a launch at this park.
- Roller skate around the park. A smooth concrete path circles the main area of the parking – perfect for skating or strollers.

Fishing LeMay Lake
The Minnesota DNR lists this park’s LeMay Lake as a Fishing in the City pond because it is a good place for beginners and children to try out fishing. Fish in this lake include Bluegill, Black Crappie, Largemouth Bass and Bullhead.
