The Village of Blaine is a strip-mall style shopping center in Blaine that sometimes hosts family-friendly events and performances (especially in the summer). The mall contains a Michael’s Craft Store, which offers weekly kids craft opportunities. For more ideas for crafting around the Twin Cities, we recommend these stores for Arts and Crafts for Kids Around Town. Two restaurants at the Village of Blaine are on our Kids Eat Free List – Bonfire Wood Fire Cooking and Green Mill both offer kids nights. The shopping center also has an Applebees, but this location does not offer a kids night. The shopping center usually hosts a Halloween Trick-or-Treat Event on the Saturday before Halloween when they hand out candy bags to costumed children. Though the mall has an events page on their website, we find the best way to keep up with events like this is to follow their Facebook events. We share mall trick-or-treat events here: Trick-or-Treat at Twin Cities Shopping Malls & Centers Santa does not hold a residence at this shopping center, but he and his reindeer usually visit once a year. This is another event that is shared on Facebook and not necessarily the website. Find this and other Santa appearances in our article: Santa Claus is Coming to Town.Family-friendly Stores and Restaurants Include:
