Locally owned and operated by Stephanie & Luke Olson-Elm, the Summit Dance Shoppe offers classes with a low student to teacher ration and strives to help each student reach their fullest potential. They stress the benefits of dance, including physical fitness, coordination, etiquette, poise, grace and appreciation of the performing arts. They work with their students to progress in a demanding, disciplined, yet caring classroom environment. This studio offers classes in ballet, pre-pointe, pointe and boy’s/men’s ballet. Its curriculum emphasizes anatomical training, comprehension of concepts and vocabulary and classroom etiquette. Students are assessed and assigned classes based pm age, development and ability. The youngest dancers can take classes with mom or dad. Two- and three-year old children will learn the basics of dancing – music, rhythm, following directions and taking turns. They will also learn preschool basics like shapes, letters, numbers and animals. The year ends with an in-studio performance. Summit Dance Shoppe offers summer camps for ages 2 (with a caregiver) through age 11. Kids can sign up for one-week sessions at affordable prices.Related Articles:
