Northeast Athletic Field Park is the home of Jim Lupient Water Park. It also has sports fields, picnic areas and grills, a playground and tot lot and walking paths.

New Playground Coming to Northeast Athletic Field

A new playground will be added adjacent to the rec center in the southwest corner of the park. The playground design was finalized during the summer and construction began in the fall 2021. Additional construction work at the park planned for 2022 include:

  • Installation of new play equipment and surfacing of the playground
  • Improvements to the athletic field located along Fillmore Street
  • Stormwater management improvements
  • Updates to the tennis courts

Mini Golf at Northeast Athletic Field Park

Northeast Recreation Center

The recreation center, which officially opened in March 2018, includes a full-court gym, community learning kitchen and classroom, multipurpose room, and a lobby with a ping pong and foosball table. The roof of the building has a solar power installation and the building was constructed with sustainable building practices. Find up-to-date Rec Center Hours here.

Birthday Parties at Northeast Athletic Field Park

Rooms in the recreation center, including the  kitchen and gym, are available to rent for private use, such as birthday parties, beginning in mid-April, 2018. The water park also offers birthday party packages.
