Located in Bde Maka Ska Park, Minneapolis Sailing Center (f/k/a Lake Calhoun Sailing School) brags it is one of the largest sailing centers in the Midwest. The school offers sailing classes for all ages and skill levels from age 4 (with a parent) through adult. We include these classes in our annual summer camp guide, since they are only offered in the summer. Families can purchase annual memberships to the sailing center which gives them access to the sailboats for use during open hours and significant discounts on classes. A family membership allows all family members to take out boats individually, so for families with younger children, an individual membership may still be the best choice.
