While Magers & Quinn does not specialize in children’s book, as the Midwest’s largest independently owned bookstore, it still has a nice-sized children’s section. Just thinking about Magers & Quinn tends to relax me — Its perfect bookstore lighting; its nooks and crannies full of interesting books; and its non-intrusive staff all serve to make this my go to quiet place.  Pre-kids I’d while away lazy Sunday afternoons haunting the stacks of this bookstore. Booklovers may enjoy following their blog.
