One of the most popular parks in Savage, Hidden Valley Park lives up to its name with its picturesque scenery. This 45-acre park in Savage runs along the Credit River and has a rich history and natural beauty. Family-friendly amenities include a playground, an archery range, picnic shelter and grill, green space and a walking trail. The shelter has electricity and nearby portable toilets.

Savage Archery Range

Hidden Valley has an archery range that sometimes hosts outreach programs from Three Rivers Park District, including family archery programs. This range was recently updated, including the addition of new bow racks, a concrete shooting line, and five shooting stations

Taking the Family Pet to Hidden Valley Park

The City of Savage allows leashed dogs in parks. As always, owners are required to pick up after their pets and maintain control of them at all times

Birthday Parties

This park has a shelter available to rent for birthday parties or other gatherings. Included with the rental is the picnic shelter and fireplace as well as the sand volleyball court. You will need to bring your own ball. $50.00 for residents of Savage and $75 for non-residents reserves the shelter for the whole day. Reservations can be made HERE.

Updates to Hidden Valley Park

Savage has completed several major improvements at the park, including:

  1. A New pedestrian bridge replaced the old wooden bridge on the north side of the park.
  2. The archery range was expanded and improved.
  3. Repaving of the parking lot.
  4. Added green space. The ball field was repurposed into flexible green space. Visitors can use it for yard games, Frisbee or just running around.
