Located in the Seward Neighborhood of Minneapolis and founded in 2000, Articulture is a collection of visual artists and art-lovers that provide classes for people ages 1-100+. Families will enjoy Free Studio Art Days and age-appropriate classes and camps for children and teens. Articulture wants to make the visual arts available to everyone and do that by meeting the artistic and social needs of the community. Birthday parties, community outreach, camps and classes, school-release programming and scholarships, are all created for the community to embrace as a way to grow the love of visual arts. The studio’s Youth Arts Collaborative (YAC) was created to engage urban teens and to help them incentivize social change through the creation of community public art. Camps are offered for children preschool through 12th grade for full programs. They run from early June through late August. Find more details featured in our annual Summer Camps Guide. Articulture offers birthday party and event packages for for all ages. Packages include use of the studio space, an instructor and all materials. Parties last two hours with an hour and a half of art time and a half hour for the party. Find up-to-date details in our annual birthday guide. Toddler classes are on hold. When offered, the classes feature parent-child activities that provide a variety of materials and focuses on developing fine motor skills and brain development while giving parents a chance to learn how art can tie into academics and development. In the meantime, we recommend other toddler and preschool friendly activities in these articles: Teens may enjoy participating in Friday Night Pizza Series where they can have a night out with friends and try new art techniques. They are also welcome at Free Studio Art Days, which are open to anyone ages 5 to 18.Articles Featuring Articulture:
