ArtStart a/k/a ArtScraps is an innovative concept that combines reclaiming useable materials that would otherwise end up in landfills with art making and upcycling! In a unique partnership with businesses and manufacturers, ArtScraps collects scraps, overstock, factory rejects, and other items normally destined for the landfill. ArtScraps makes these products available to teachers, parents, artists, scout leaders, day care providers – anyone working with children or interested in reducing waste through reuse of discarded materials.
Summer camp at ArtStart
ArtStart offers themed summer camps for kids ages 4 through teen, including writing camps and youth art camps. Learn more details in our annual Twin Cities Summer Art Camps directory.
Birthday parties at ArtStart
The store offers weekend birthday parties for children ages 5 and older. Reserve your spot 3 weeks in advance for parties up to 12 participants. Art activities include:
