Description
There is almost always free family fun to be had at North Mississippi Regional Park. Some programs require registration and have a limited amount of space, others invite visitors to come by on a drop-in basis. If you’re not interested in a structured activity, the Kroening Interpretive Center has animal and nature materials and self-guided activity ideas. Staff can get you started on your own outdoor exploration, too. There’s a nature playground steps from the door, a super splashy (and free) wading pool, and trails to hike or bike that bend close to the river.

Nature Art programming is free, but space is limited and registration is required. We try to track here when a program is full but please refer to the Minneapolis Park & Rec catalog to check the status and possibly join a waitlist. These programs run from 1:30-2:30pm unless noted.
