The snow is here to stay — at least for the next few months (or so). What better way to enjoy than hitting up one of these sledding hills (free!) or snow tubing hills (not free). They are open for business and creating their own conditions. Several free ice skating rinks across the Twin Cities are flooded and ready to go, too. Please make sure to double check operating hours before heading out!
Winter Scavenger hunts
The City of Minnetonka is rotating a stuffed Yeti through several parks during January. Check the city’s website for more info. This weekend head to Minnetonka Civic Center/Jidana Park.
Ramsey County challenges families to get outdoors and explore its parks with a new literacy-based scavenger hunt. Visit the website for details.
Each week St. Louis Park will hide a different gnome in a city park and give clues on social media. Learn more at the link. On Snowtime Saturdays families can try out activities like ice fishing, snowshoeing, kick-sledding and cross-country skiing.
