In the Heart of the Beast Puppet & Mask Theatre

MCAD Youth Summer Camps

Camp inspires kids’ self-expression, encourages creativity, and instills an excitement for learning. Some camps partner with the Raptor Center and Bakken Museum. For youth ages 6–12. Sessions start June 17 with the final week starting July 29, 2024. $200-$430.

MCBA Summer Camps

MCBA’s book arts camps, for ages 7-18, foster budding artists’ love for books and visual arts through hands-on projects in a professional studio frequented by working artists. July 9-August 2, 2024. $294-$588 (with discounts for BIPOC and Financial needs).

Northern Clay Center

Campers will create cups, figures, plates, and anything else they can imagine during our 2024 camp offerings. We offer a wide variety of themes—such as potions, woodland creatures, gifts, and more—in small, individualized class settings. NCC instructors and teaching assistants provide plenty of guidance and ideas while letting personal flair shine. Ages 6 & up. June 16-August 23, 2024. $200/half-day camps, $375/full day.

Studio Seven Art Camp

Wilderness Awakening Day Camps

Wilderness Awakening Day Camps offer children nature immersion within our Twin Cities. Held at Crosby Farm and Theo Wirth Park, these camps emphasize nature connection, free play and exploration. With journals, art supplies, and hammocks for quiet connection moments. Thea camps are designed for children between 6-10. Sessions run weekly during June-August, 2024. $385/week

Wonderland Creative Center

Campers learn outdoors about art, nature, world cultures and art history. 2024’s theme is “All About the Mississippi River”. Ages 6-12. July 8-August 16, 2024. $370. Teens 13-18 can pay $80 to intern at this camp.

Franconia Sculpture Park

Franconia Sculpture Park hosts three weeks of summer camps for kids ages 8-13. They offer a safe, fun, and inspiring space for youth to create, engage, and explore. All camps are focused on sculpture and contemporary art where students can explore creating with different mediums, developing critical thinking skills while exploring new material and methods. Sessions run 12pm-4pm. July 8-26, 2024. $225/week.

KidzArt: Neon Glow 

Maple Grove Arts Center, 11666 Fountains Drive, Maple Grove, MN 55369
Unleash your inner luminescence at our Glow-in-the-Dark Art Camp. Make a simple circuit to light up your painting! Create your own glow-in-the-dark dice and learn some new games to play. Use neon paint, black light and fluorescent designs that will help you discover the fun you can have with light. June 10-13, 2024; $170.

North Suburban Center for the Arts

Rumriver Art Center

5-day morning camps and 4-day afternoon camps run all summer. Themes include animal drawing, polymer clay, anime sketchbook and mosaic stained. Camps are for ages 5-17. Sessions run June 10-August 30, 2024. $125-$140/session.

Bruentrup Heritage Farm

The historic site presents camps such as farm-to-table
, folk arts, history detectives and more for kids in grades 1-9. Plus a culinary camp for teens and, new this year, Recess Camp with a single day price option or whole summer. June 17 – August 22, 2024. $240-$540.

Outside the Lines Arts Camp

Fresh air, sun and creative fun! We offer summer day camp programming focused on visual and performing arts for campers age 7-14. Each week, a variety of professional artists lead projects and activities en plein air, in pop-up studios and rehearsal spaces in the beautiful parks of the Twin Cities area. Ages 7-14. July 15-19, 2024. $435 per child — full week, 9AM-3PM daily.

The Phipps Summer Art Camp

Seven fun-filled weeks of dance, theater and visual arts camps that develop skills, grow the imagination, encourage self-expression and build friendships for preschoolers, kids and teens. Mix and match different art forms and camp times across mornings, afternoons, and weeks to create your own, unique Summer Arts Camp experience. Ages 3-18. June 24-August 16, 2024. $50-$200.

Eden Prairie Art Center

7650 Equitable Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344
Join us at the EP Art Center for Destination Fun this summer! Camps for ages 6 – 15 in a variety of media, from clay to fused glass to public art and more! Monday-Friday half day and all day options available for ages 6-15. Sessions run June 10 – August 23, 2024. Cost varies $130-300/week. Split payment available for all summer camps.

Edina Art Center

Fred Richards Park, 4400 Parklawn Ave, Edina, MN 55435
Edina Art Center staff will be running weekly four-day camps throughout the summer featuring a different theme each week. Camps run from 9am-1pm, lunch provided by camper. Additionally, there are Summer Art Intensives for ages 12-17 at the Edina Art Center. June 10 – August 17, 2024. $175/day camps, $250/intensives.

Minnetonka Center for the Arts

Summer Arts Camp provides cultural enrichment and visual arts programming in a variety of media for youth ages 5-15. Half and full day options as well as sampler classes available. All classes are 3 hours long. June 10 – August 23, 2024. $51/single day classes, $257-$277/week.

ARTS SUMMER CAMPS – MULTIPLE TWIN CITIES METRO-AREA LOCATIONS

8 Metro Area parks: Caponi Art Park, Caron Park, French Regional Park, Moir Park, Nine Mile/Oak Grove Park, Station 24, Theodore Wirth Park, Tony Schmidt Regional Park and West Bush Lake Park.
This program seeks to inspire outdoor play with city-based youth in play-focused arts workshops. Plus tactical and theater camps, all designed for mixed-aged participants from 8-18. 11 sessions of full-day camps, June 10-August 20, 2024. $469/week.
