8 Ideas for Family Fun at Tarnhill Park

  1. Burn off energy at the playground. It’s a rather small playground. We would recommend it for younger kids.
  2. Pack a picnic to eat while the kids play. There is a pavilion for use on a first-come, first-serve basis and plenty of green space.
  3. Play a game of volleyball in the sand pit. Bring a volleyball or playground ball.
  4. Stroll the park walking trails that meander through the park. The trails are paved and stroller friendly.
  5. Bring along baseball gear to practice on the field. Or use a playground ball for a game of kickball.
  6. Play a game of one-on-one on the basketball court. Bring your own basketball or playground ball.
  7. Play tennis or pickleball on the tennis court.
  8. Take advantage of the green space to play outdoor running games, like tag or dodgeball.

When visiting Tarnhill Park, we recommend bringing a playground ball and maybe other favorite sports gear, because this park will be most fun if you take advantage of the sports fields and courts.
