Summit Pointe Park is a 13-acre neighborhood park in Woodbury. Family friendly amenities include an accessible playground, space to picnic, paved paths, plenty of open green space and a baseball diamond. There is off-street parking near the baseball field and playground. This park participates in Woodbury’s Puppet Wagon program. This park has good-sized plastic and metal jungle gym with a wood chip floor. It has a nice plastic climbing wall and a tall(ish) hurricane slide. The equipment is recommended for ages 5-12 because the height of some parts may make some parents of tots uncomfortable. However, there are swings and other equipment appropriate for smaller kids. I like the color choice for this playground. The purple and turquoise stand out. Although, there is a weird plastic purple creature that looks like it swallowed a bunch of children (like in the Doctor Who episode “Love & Monsters”). Creepy. Native grasses surround an otherwise unguarded pond. The pond is a good, safe distance from the playground. However, it is close to the walking path. If you look on a sunny day, you might see turtles. The paved path that circles the pond and park is approximately 1¼ miles around. It is a good paths for bikes or strollers, except in the spring when it sometimes floods.Summit Pointe Park Playground
