Stevens Square Park is a pretty little park with a big, modern playground in the Stevens Square-Loring Heights neighborhood of Minneapolis. Only the size of a city block, the park packs in green space, the large playground, a basketball court and a tennis court. There is no off-street parking and street parking can be hard to find a times. However, as it is located not far from downtown Minneapolis, busing is a viable option. Grab and 11, 17 or 18 from Downtown. While Stevens Square is not a large park, it does have plenty to keep make a fun family day at the park. Stroll away from the park, to see the beautiful neighborhood sites. The neighborhood association has created a short interactive tour that begins at the Boiler Room Coffee House a block away from the park, through beautiful community gardens and at the Wednesday Farmers Market. Not as famous as some of the other Minneapolis art fairs, Stevens Square is the home of the Red Hot Art Fair each summer, which is normally a two-day festival of the arts held in the hot days of mid-July.
