Located just east of Shakopee Junior High School’s athletic field, Scenic Heights Park is an 11 acre neighborhood park in Shakopee with family-friendly amenities that include a playground and space to picnic. In the winter the park maintains an unpaved hockey rink. The park is also a connection to Vierling Greenway, a paved trail that runs through Shakopee to Tahpah Park. This park has onsite restrooms inside the building (however a facility key is needed) and a small, 15-car parking lot. Originally built in 1991, the city has begun the planning stages of redevelopment for this park, which is scheduled to be completed in 2021 GPS Note: When searching for this park with GPS, use the address, not the name.
