Savage Canterbury Park is a neighborhood park, not to be confused with the track in Shakopee of the same name. The park is 20 acres and amenities include a playground with some tot-friendly equipment, a nature trail, a picnic shelter and grill, and sports fields. In the winter, it has a skating rink with a warming house.

Taking the Family Pet to Savage Canterbury Park

Pets are welcome at this park as long as they are leashed, controlled by their handler and picked up after.

To rent the shelter for a birthday party or other gathering, reservations can be made HERE. The rental is for a full day and includes the picnic shelter and sand volleyball court. The outdoor skating rink and warming house is open during winter months, weather permitting. Warming house hours are Monday through Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and weekends from noon to 8 p.m. For updated weather information, please call 952-882-2688.
