4 Ideas for Family Fun at Ruth Circle Park

  1. Run around the playground. The playground is older, but sufficient for playground needs of tots through middle grade school – with a larger and smaller climbing structure, swing set and monkey bars. This playground is on Fridley’s list of parks it would like to replace it by 2029.
  2. Play Kickball on the baseball diamond. You’ll need to bring your own ball.
  3. Pack a Picnic and spread a blanket on the grass.
  4. Ice Skate in the winter

Summer at Ruth Circle Park

This park is part of Fridley’s Rec N’ Roll program, where park staff will roll up in the “Rec N’ Roll mobile” weekly during the summer. They will bring free recreational activities for kids of all ages, like sports, games, crafts and activities and supervise activities during the program. Look for the old fire vehicle complete with sound system and supplies. In 2021, activities will be designed to accommodate social distancing. Find the complete Rec N’ Roll calendar here or check our calendar for events.

Winter at Ruth Circle Park

Winter activities at the park include ice skating and snow play. The city creates a snow pile for kids to play in and on. They also maintain a pleasure rink as weather permits – usually mid December to mid February. The city recommends cancelling outdoor activities if the temperature falls below 10 degrees Fahrenheit or there is a wind chill of -25 degrees.
