Oberlin Park in Minnetonka has family-friendly amenities that include a large, brightly colored playground, shady green trails for both biking and hiking, space to picnic and sports courts and fields. The park offers off-street parking The playground is large with equipment appropriate for tots and bigger kids. It has a wood-chip floor. Unique climbing features include a web, hoops, and a a large boulder-shaped structure. There are also the more traditional swings and a tot lot. Parents can find sitting space that can view the whole play area. The benches are not particularly shaded, so bring a hat if sun is an issue for you. The paths at this park are paved and wide enough for two strollers side by side. They wind through a beautiful green canopy of trees and other plants. There is even a pretty bridge to cross during your walk. Biking is also allowed on these paths at a maximum speed of 15 mph. The trails are a part of a system of trails that wind through Minnetonka. You can find a map of Minnetonka trails that includes a self-guided historical tour here. Like Minnetonka parks, Minnetonka trails open at 5 am and close at 10pm. The park has a picnic area with a shelter.
