Nine Mile Creek Park is a nearly 16 acre undeveloped park in Bloomington. It is six miles south of the similarly-named Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail and does not connect, but it does have some trails of its own. The park is mainly a corridor following Nine Mile Creek. Bloomington’s website suggests that the park offers space to picnic, hiking trails and access to the Minnesota River Valley. However, it is considered a “Conservation Park” and the city has no immediate plans to develop the area. What Does Nine Mile Creek Park Have for Families? This is, perhaps, not the best park for families as it does not have any play equipment, there is not a lot of public access to this park at this time, and the city believes it has more value for conservation than recreation. There are also no restrooms and parking would be whatever street parking you can find. You can learn more about the city’s plans for this park on its Master Plan page.
