Roy Wilkins Park (f/k/a Lewis Park) in St. Paul has family-friendly amenities that include a splash pad, a playground, picnic areas, trails and open spaces. Readers have reviewed this site and have not had the most positive feedback. You can see from the pictures that Anne’s kids had a good time on their visit.  We would love to hear your feedback as well.

The playground has a synthetic turf surface and child-friendly equipment.

4 Ideas for Family Fun at Roy Wilkins Park

  1. Climb all over the fun playground. It is large and encourages active play in both kids and the adults who choose to play with them.
  2. Wear your swimsuits and run through the splash fountains.
  3. Pack a Picnic and have a fun lunch date at the park.
  4. Play a game of tag in the green space. There are tons of trees to dash behind and around.

Roy Wilkins Park Splash Pad

This park is home to one of four splash pads in St. Paul. It is open from 9am-9pm daily in the summer. Typically, St. Paul Splash Pads open early and run through Labor Day. Find up-to-date information on Saint Paul Splash Pads here.

Note: A few years back, we had reader reports that this splash pad was far from well kept. If you visit or live nearby, we would love to hear your feedback.

“I would strongly recommend AGAINST going to Lewis Park in St Paul. We went on a Sunday AM and there were people bathing in it, bodily discharges and broken glass on the ground from recent nights (i assume), it was disgusting. I reported it to the city”
