Joy Park is a neighborhood nature preserve in Maplewood that runs along the shores of Silver Lake. It is ideal for picnics, fishing trips, family walks or open nature play. Explore the kettles and moraines of ancient glacier territory or picnic in the open air shelter. The trails are not maintained, but the park and foot paths are mowed. Watch for a new asphalt trail late in 2018. Restrooms are rustic. This park is part of Maplewood’s Geocache Passport Program. Stop by City Hall or Maplewood Nature Center for a packet or download this PDF. Find More Geocaching Ideas: Beyond Pokémon Go: Twin Cities Quests for Families.
