Howard Johnson Park in Roseville is slightly less than 10 acres and offers family-friendly amenities that include a nice playground, sports fields and courts and space to picnic. There is a pond on the west side of the park. The parking lot can hold 38 vehicles.
Play on the Playground. This newish playground was built in 2014 and includes features designed to keep kids (or adults) moving and using their muscles.
Practice Tennis. The courts are lit, so you can play into the evening when spring and fall weather allows.
Bring a playground ball for a game of kickball on the baseball diamond; and/or
A game of dodgeball or soccer in the green space.
Pack a picnic for an outdoor meal.
Try pond-dipping in the park’s pond.
Rent a Roseville Play Kit. Play kits can be rented weekdays on a first-come, first served basis from the Parks & Rec department at City Hall. They cost $25 to borrow, but you’ll get $10 back when you return the equipment. Kits can be tailored to your interests and can include croquet sets, bocce ball, soccer balls, or volleyball equipment. You don’t have to use the equipment a Valley Park, but it offers a nice open space for play.
