Homeward Hills Park in Eden Prairie has family-friendly amenities that include a playground, bike trails, sports courts and fields, and space for picnicking with an outdoor grill. In the winter, the city maintains an ice rink. This park has restrooms available. This park is one of six Eden Prairie parks that hosts a Little Free Library (“LFL”). This box is meant for youth books in particular. According to LFL’s website, local Girl Scouts created this box with some help from volunteers from the local Senior Center. The city maintains an outdoor rink and warming house at this location when weather permits. Bring your own skates; there are no rentals at this location. The warming house is staffed and the rink is lit on weekdays between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and on weekends from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In the center of the park, a heated and air-conditioned, two-level barn is available for Eden Prairie residents to rent for birthday parties and other private events. Note that Eden Prairie dog parks are only open to dogs with an Eden Prairie license. Children under six are not allowed in the off-leash area.
