Named for its high elevation and skyline view of Minneapolis, Hi-View Park has family-friendly amenities that include a playground and tot lot, a wading pool, a picnic area with a grill, restrooms, and a drinking fountain, and sports fields and courts. Hi-View Park’s wading pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor day. It is a newer pool with a zero depth entry, a fun turtle-shaped mini slide and splash-pad spray features. Summer pool hours are 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Lifeguards are not on duty at Minneapolis wading pools. In June of 2016, Minneapolis Parks finished renovations of a new playground and wading pool. The playground has visually pleasing features that incorporate newer play research according to the Project for Public Spaces. For instance certain elements mimic natural play spaces. In addition, it provides an opportunity for interaction between age groups, provides places for parents to interact socially, and space for families to picnic.Hi-View Park Wading Pool
