Golden Valley Lions Park has family friendly amenities that includes a playground, lighted game squares and lighted trails, space for picnicking with grills and sports courts and fields. In the winter, this park has skating rinks with a warming house.

Playground at Golden Valley Lions Park

In 2014, neighborhood families helped select the features of the playground that was built later the same year. The playground uses bright, primary colors and has a wood-chip floor. Features include a stump climber, wobble sphere, track ride, tube slide, and a curly-Q slide. There is both a big kid area and a tot lot.

Puppet Wagon at Lions Park

During the summer, various parks in Golden Valley, including Lions Park, will host puppet shows from mid-June to early August. If the weather is bad, shows will be canceled, and there are no shows the week of Independence Day.

The parks department maintains outdoor ice skating rinks with a warming house at this park. Outdoor skating season runs from mid-December to late February — weather dependent.
