Gearty Park in Golden Valley has family friendly amenities that include a small playground, lighted game squares, walking trails and sports courts and fields. In the winter it is one of the Golden Valley parks with a lighted skating rink and warming house.
Gearty Park Playground
The playground was updated in 2014 with design preferences chosen by neighborhood families. The equipment features natural colors and a wood chip floor. The play structure has a gatorwalk, wobble sphere, track ride, hypersonic slide, and a roundabout challenge ladder.
Puppet Wagon at Gearty Park
Weather permitting, Gearty will host the Golden Valley Puppet Wagon at 10:30 a.m. every Monday and Wednesday between mid-June, and early August (except Independence Day week). Each week experience fun stories and adventures with the puppets.

This park has a general skating rink with a warming house. Crews try to get ice conditions ready for skating by mid-December and keep them open until mid-February. However, weather dictates outdoor rink availability.
