It also contains a year-round sports dome that houses an artificial turf field, a batting tunnel and walking track.  Open dome times and walking hours are offered in the winter months. 4 Ideas for Family Fun at Fernbrook Fields

  1. Play on the playground. It is close enough to the ball fields that you can let younger kids play while you watch games.
  2. Attend an open dome to get in sports/turf activities during the colder months.
  3. Pack a picnic and eat in the shaded pavilion. You can see the playground and the ballfields from the pavilion if you want to bring a book while you let the kids play.
  4. Walk on the track in the dome. Strollers are welcome, so this can be a nice way to get out for a walk with the little ones when it is too cold to go outside. While the track remains at restricted capacity, registration is required. Find walking track hours and sign up here.

Open Dome Dates: Currently on Pause

Open dome times can be found on the dome’s webpage; a schedule is posted monthly. The cost is $5.00 per person payable in cash at the door.  Everyone, including supervising parents, needs to pay entry fee.
