Ideas for Family Fun at Fairwood Park
Play on the Playground. The play area is tiny, but it has some nice features for such a small park. A half-moon climbing arch provides physical challenges and fun for grade-school aged kids. A classic spring rider horse is a great for smaller kids to rock and bounce while promoting balance and core body strength. Of course swings are both relaxing and great exercise all wrapped in the best classic playground equipment ever made. There is also a compact climbing structure incorporating slides, steps, ladders and tubes in one small space.
Play Lawn Games. Most of the park is dedicated to flexible lawn space, so bring along a playground ball or other lawn games that require more space than the average urban backyard.
There are currently Tennis Courts at this park, but Richfield plans to remove them rather than replace them when they wear out.
