Day Park is the home of Earley Lake Trail and features playground equipment, hiking/walking and room to picnic. The park is four-acres and the trail goes around the lake. Bring your canoe to get out on the lake.

The playground equipment at this park is standard park equipment on a sand lot. It is appropriate for younger children, but may be a bit boring for the older kids.

Hiking/Walking Earley Lake Trail

The lake is a bit close to the hiking trail and surrounded by natural grasses. Older children should be fine, but younger children would need to be watched closely in some areas. The trail is concrete and boardwalk, making it ideal for pushing a stroller or bringing along the kids with bikes and scooters. The full trail is 1.1 miles and is considered an easy terrain. In the winter the trail is available for snowshoeing or hiking.

Picnicking at Day Park

This park has one small shelter and a lot of grassy space for picnicking. It is a 3 minute drive from Burnsville Center, where there are several restaurants that offer food appropriate for picnics.

Bringing Your Dog to Day Park

Leashed dogs are allowed at this park. As with any park, owners are responsible for their dogs and anything their dog leaves behind.
