Burnes Park is a 7 acre park in Hopkins with family-friendly amenities that include a playground and splash pad, space for picnics and grilling and sports courts and fields. In the winter the city maintains an outdoor ice rink at this location. Parking is available on street and in the adjacent church parking lot. Restrooms are available from dawn to dusk. This park participates in Hopkin’s summer meals program, serving a free weekday lunch to children from mid-June to mid-August. Learn more about summer meal programs here. The city maintains an ice rink with a warming house at this location. Hopkins outdoor rinks open for the 2019 season on December 15th and remain open through mid-February (weather permitting). Warming House Hours are 4:30 to 9 pm Monday-Thursday; 4:30 to 9:45 p.m. Friday; Noon to 9:45 p.m. Saturday; and Noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.
