Fishing at Bur Oaks Pond

The city suggests Bur Oaks Pond as a recommended neighborhood fishing pond. Bluegill, bullhead, crappie, and northern pike occupy this pond. Fishers are discouraged from keeping their limits of sport fish, and are asked to to keep only a few larger fish; bullheads and small sunfish are okay to keep.

Art Benches at Bur Oaks Park

During 2019 and 2020, Eagan commissioned several art benches for city parks. The image below shows the benches installed at Bur Oaks Park. Eagan’s website provides details and information on all the city’s Art Benches installed in 2019/2020 and you can find a map of Eagan’s Public Art here. If you like this bench, find more public art by Greg Mueller at his website. While he has created art installations around the country, you can find quite a few pieces nearby, including a flying pig in Franconia Sculpture Park, a really cook bike rack at Brooklyn Park Library, and a swing set at the Mankato Children’s Museum.
