With 73 acres, Brooklyn Park Central Park is one of the city’s largest community parks – big enough to encompass Brookland Golf Course. Because it is in a central location, it has become a recreational hub for Brooklyn Park. Family friendly amenities include a large playground area, sports courts and fields and 9 hole disc golf course. There is over a mile of walking trails within the park. In the summer, the park hosts Movies in the Park and a National Night Out kickoff.  This park has off street parking and indoor restrooms.

Disc Golf

The park is home to a free, A 9-hole disc golf course. If you don’t have your own discs, you can purchase them at the golf course’s clubhouse.  Todd, our disc golf dad, lists this as one of his top 3 free courses.

Central Park Tree Trek

Brooklyn Park has installed 12 posts along a path in the park for visitors to go on a self-guided Tree Trek.  Visitors can learn three different names for each tree – the common name, the Ojibwe name and the scientific name. You’ll also learn interesting facts, special traits and other details about each tree species.
