Bredesen Park is a 200 acre park in Edina with paths for walking and biking around Nine Mile Creek. The paths are each about two miles long and weave through natural areas. There is offstreet parking available off Ollinger Road. A nature trail is offered for walkers (no bikes on this trail). The City of Edina has recently approved upgrades to make access to the nature trail easier for walkers. These upgrades mainly concern removal of fencing and turnstyles that that may have made it more difficult for pedestrians who were on the main walking trail to switch over to the nature trail. There is also a 2-mile bike path (with a stroller-friendly walking area) that encircles the park and has been developed as a nature study area. This path connects to the Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail at the southwest corner of the park, Bikers can access the paths either via Vernon Avenue or Olinger Boulevard. For longer rides, visitors can download a trail map from NineMileCreek.org that includes this and other parks in the Nine Mile Creek Watershed District.Nature Trail at Bredesen Park
