Located in a residential neighborhood, Bass Lake Park Crystal provides amenities that are primarily for the adjacent neighborhood. It is a narrow 2-acre park with access at the end of two roadways and contains a play area, half basketball court, picnic shelter, and open field space.

GPS Note, this park is a separate park from the larger Bass Lake Park in St. Louis Park. Ten miles separates the two parks and it takes approximately a half hour to get from one to the other.

4 Ideas for Family Fun At Bass Lake Park in Crystal

  1. Play on the playground. This playground is on the smaller side, but the equipment is modern and well-maintained.
  2. Pack a Picnic. There are picnic benches near the playground, giving parents the opportunity to relax while the kids play.  There is also a shelter, but it is slated to be torn down and rebuilt soon.
  3. Challenge your kids to a game of HORSE on the half-court. Half-courts are ideal for this game.
  4. Bring a Playground Ball or other favorite lawn games. There is plenty of green space for outdoor games.

Planned Renovations

Planned updates to this park include removal  of the old picnic shelter and replacement with a new shelter in a more central location, a new trail through the park to connect the various park features for pedestrians, improvements to the current basketball half-court. Learn More Here.
