July is bursting with family festivals all month long – take notes with this handy July family festival list of local celebrations around the Twin Cites. Family-friendly highlights are listed for each and admission is FREE unless otherwise noted:

Twin Cities July 2023 Festivals

June 15 – July 4, 2023: White Bear Lake Manitou Days 

Highlights of this multi-week summer festival include a Grande Parade, beach dance, Marketfest (a weekly farmers market with live music downtown), a medallion hunt, children’s fishing contest, and 4th of July fireworks over the lake.

June 15 – July 27, 2023: White Bear Lake Marketfest

On the Fourth of July, catch the Freedom Days Parade & pre-fireworks family party. 

June 29 – July 2, 2023: Hudson Booster Days

July 2-4, 2023: Coon Rapids 4th of July

July 3, 2023: Bloomington Summer Fete

July 4 & 7-16, 2023: Pan-o-Prog – Lakeville’s Summer Festival

Start out with 4th of July fireworks and wrap up with a grand parade. Sweet treat alert: the festival’s free ice cream social is July 12 in 2023. FIND MORE TWIN CITIES ICE CREAM SOCIALS THIS SUMMER to enjoy a classic cool one.

July 5-8, 2023: Lindstrom Karl Oskar Days

Free ice cream, face painting, music and vehicle fair, parade & fireworks.

July 7-8, 2023: Andover Family Fun Fest

At this Twin Cities summer festival, look for family entertainment including magic & juggling shows, a street dance & fireworks.

July 8, 2023: Anoka Riverfest

Sidewalk chalk and spin art for kids – 9am-5pm, FREE.

July 16, 2023: Minneapolis Open Streets – Glenwood

Portland Ave S to 26th Ave S
The streets are closed to cars so pedestrians can explore businesses along the festival route. Many will have family-friendly activities to draw visitors in.

July 11-16, 2023: Centerville Festival of the Lake

So many fun things at this classic summer festival! Medallion Hunt, community bike ride, a water ski show on Centerville Lake, DJ, fireworks, parade,  balloon animals, face painting, orienteering, and more. Most events are free for kids.

July 12-16, 2023: Hopkins Raspberry Festival

Family Day in Central Park with art activities, fireworks and other entertainment and Grande Day Parade.

July 14-15, 2023: Chaska Fire & Ice Festival

Live music, kids activities in the park and fireworks. CHASKA FIREMEN’S PARK boasts one of the loveliest beaches in the Twin Cities, complete with a curving boardwalk, splash pad, playground, paddle boats and concessions.

An afternoon of artists, food vendors and community at beautiful Minnehaha Falls.

Sunday parade, live music, kids games.

July 14-16, 2023: Stillwater Lumberjack Days

Stillwater never misses the mark when it comes to a festival, summer or winter. Find lumberjack shows, a parade, live music, boat cruises and more.

July 14-16, 2023: Wannigan Days 

Kids parade through Taylors Falls, Minnesota followed by 2-city parade (the festival is shared by St Croix Falls, WI, across the river) bouncy zone, music and entertainment, fireworks on Saturday. July 15, 2023: International Festival of Burnsville

A special International Festival of Burnsville edition of Party on the Plaza, includes live music, food trucks, games, market vendors. Do NOT forget swimsuits for the kids because you’ll hardly be able to hold them back once they see the beautiful water feature in the park.

July 15, 2023: Minnesota Scottish Fair Street Party

Celtic Junction, 836 Prior Ave N Suite #300, St Paul, MN 55104
All things Celtic: music, bagpipes, a Highland Dance competition, Scottish country dancing, and a marketplace. Adult tickets: $15/pp.

July 19-22, 2023: Minneapolis Aquatennial

Annual sidewalk sale featuring bouncy houses, fun activities. Saturday is Kids Day, 9am-3pm.

July 21-23, 2023: Hastings Rivertown Days

Arts & crafts fair at Jaycee Park, carnival on the river at Levee Park and Rivertown Days Parade.

July 21-23, 2023: Slice of Shoreview Days
