Transitioning to Distance Learning has been a rough ride for our family, and I know we aren’t alone.
Our kids’ teachers are focusing their effort on the hardest part of the school day: math and literacy. When they are done with with those two subjects and practicing their music, there are still HOURS in our day. This is when we could best use some educational enrichments available.
We can make those screen activities really beneficial as an enrichment opportunity. Or we can ditch our responsibilities (when it’s appropriate) and have an adventure with our kids. Both types of enrichments are beneficial.

FFTC Suggestions for Screentime:
Blooma Yoga Classes: Yoga, Barre, Cardio, and Kids Classes. When I went to try Blooma Yoga, I loved it. I didn’t think I would love it as much as I did, but it was relaxing, smooth, and invigorating. You can read about my full experience here.
If you need something active to do with your kids, give Blooma’s online classes a try. I know you won’t regret it. The frequently run specials for new students.Click here for new student specials
Step Collective Percussive Dancing Classes: If you (or your kids) are interested in a creative form of movement and want something a little more upbeat than yoga or pilates, you should check out the Step Collective.
The courses are taught online through video. When my girls and I took Intro to Flat Footin’, we stopped that video and went back probably 5 times for each step.
I personally know the founder, Danielle Enblom, and she is as genuine as they come. And kind and encouraging. Don’t get me wrong. Percussive Dancing is extremely challenging, but it’s not unattainable. And Danielle breaks down each step into tiny bite-size pieces.
