March continues to usher in the season of bountiful sap and syrup in Minnesota. Our local parks do this event up right with maple syrup programs for families offered all month long. Maple Syrup Festival at Wargo Nature Center

Learn about the longtime tradition of harvesting maple sap and boiling it down into maple syrup and sugar. Make maple crafts and go on a scavenger hunt. Learn more about WARGO NATURE CENTER in Lino Lakes. Pre-registration required. March 23, 2024, 12pm-2pm. $5/pp+ vehicle fee.

It’s Tapping Time! at Harriet Alexander Nature Center

A FREE event, with tours and stations for identifying maple trees, tree tapping, sap cooking, and sampling maple flavor. Families can purchase their own syrup for waffles and pancakes at home. March 23 & 24, 2024, 12-4pm.

Sap to Syrup at Tamarack Nature Center

5287 Otter Lake Rd. White Bear Township, MN 55110

This weekend, kids can help make mini Easter baskets to be delivered to local senior centers. A great option for older kids who may need to earn volunteer hours. And all ages will enjoy the indoor exhibits too. March 23 (10am-12pm) & March 24 (12-3pm), 2024.

Oakdale Indoor Market & Discovery Center

After browsing the indoor vendors to pick up tasty local treats, definitely stop in at the Discovery Center so kids can play around with natural objects and view an aquarium and a beehive. March 23, 2024, 9am-1pm. FREE admission.

Arden Hills Spring Egg Hunt

1219 Cummings Park Drive, Arden Hills, MN 55112
Kids up to age 12 are invited to hunt for candy-filled eggs in the park. Special gold eggs will contain surprise gifts. Plus, meet the Spring Bunny (so have your cameras ready!) All kids must be pre-registered with age category noted. Ages 1-4; 10:30 AM Ages 5-8; 10:40 AM Ages 9-12; 10:50 AM. March 23, 2024, $8/child.

Easter Egg Hunt

Drop in to the nature center and help make 100 Easter baskets for one of the local senior centers. Plus, explore the indoor hands-on exhibits. March 23, 2024, 9am-3pm, FREE.

Egg Hunt Open Swim

Edgewood Middle School, 5100 Edgewood Dr, Mounds View, MN 55112
Kids up to age 12 can hunt for eggs in the pool and have open swim time with music and prizes. Hunt begins at 12:30pm but swimming is available from 12-2pm. All individuals entering the pool must register, including adults. March 23, 2024, $5/pp.

Abiding Savior Egg Hunt

Bring your own basket for an egg hunt, crafts and snacks. All are welcome to this egg hunt Easter event. March 23, 2024, 10:30am-12pm. FREE.
